An Attempt at a Self-Portrait

There is some commentary on the page. This took about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. I don't know.

I tried my best to make it as close as I could to my head, but I extended the hair to far upwards. Also, I had not decided what features and what precise angle I would use ahead of time. For instance, I suddenly changed the angle so that the top of my head was more visible. It is hard to keep a consistent angle when looking in the mirror which made the ears hard to produce.

I used a hand-held mirror instead of a stable on and as always the shadows work slightly differently at slightly different angles. In order to make some parts of my hair shiny, I just erased a little in those areas. I used pencil, so that was all I could think of because pencil shading is also a challenge.
